LCSPC will have
information available in Spanish
In the next couple of weeks, the Lucas County Suicide
Prevention Coalition will have information available in
Spanish in their website

The Coalition is composed by community organizations and
individuals who are interest in the subject. The single most
important service the Lucas County Suicide Prevention Coalition
provides is the raising of community mental health knowledge in
order to reduce the stigma associated with depression and
suicide, “Be A Friend ...The Campaign”.
They have available a short educational presentation which is
appropriate for all audiences and is presented by Coalition
representatives. This has a portion intended for minorities,
including the Latino community. This presentation can be
requested in Spanish.
Representatives of SETT (Self
Expression Teen Theater Institute) and El Centro de la
Mujer, members of the LCSPC board, are coming together to
join forces and reactivate the Multi-cultural Committee within
the Coalition.

En las próximas semanas, la Coalición de Prevención al
Suicidio del Condado de Lucas (LCSPC sigla/ingles) tendrá
información disponible en español en su página de sitio web
http://www.lucas-suicide-prevention.org/
La Coalición está formada por organizaciones e individuos de la
comunidad que tienen interés en el tema. El servicio más
importante que proveen es aumentar el conocimiento en la
comunidad acerca de la salud mental con el deseo de reducir el
estigma asociado con la depresión y el suicidio. Representado
por La Campaña “Se su amigo” (Be a Friend).
También cuentan con una corta presentación educativa que es
adecuada para todo tipo de audiencia y que es llevada a cabo por
representantes de la coalición. Esta contiene una porción
destinada a las minorías, incluyendo a la comunidad Latina. La
presentación mencionada se puede pedir en español.
Actualmente, representantes de SETT (Self

se unieron para unir fuerzas y reactivar el comité
