CLEVELAND, OHIO - In his first solo exhibition in 5 years, Lorain native, Joe
Ayala, has selected a diverse collection of his paintings,
drawings and prints produced from 2004 to 2010. With no
particular theme to his body of work, he continuously
experiments various styles and techniques through subjects of
history, beauty, humor and death. A self-taught artist and one
of the seven partners of Wall Eye Gallery, Joe grew up on
Lorain’s south side and attended Southview High School. He
currently lives in Lakewood, Ohio. |

With DJ Cornflake spinning music through the night, Joe has
selected the right works and music to create a cool experience
and a fun night for everyone.
OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, July 16th, 6-11pm with music, food & drinks.
Also Open:
Saturday, July 17th, 12-5pm
Sunday, July 18th, 12-4pm
And by appointment through August 8th
WALL EYE GALLERY is located in the Gordon Arts Square District on Cleveland's west
side. We are a collective of 7 artists and art aficionados who
want to be part of an ever-growing and exciting Cleveland arts
scene. We intend to showcase established and emerging artists
working in all kinds of styles and mediums from the Cleveland
region and beyond by offering a monthly rotating exhibition
schedule. With a collaborative spirit, we want to provide a
venue where artists can grow, inspire, provoke, and be
themselves. The gallery aspires to keep the momentum of an
artistically-rich environment in Cleveland!
LOWER LEVEL GALLERY & WALL EYE GALLERY BOUTIQUE
Open during gallery hours and by appointment the Lower Level
features the art of the Wall Eye Gallery partners. The boutique
is filled with art, jewelry, prints, accessories and more from
Ohio artists.
