on the Mayan prophecies interpreted through native tribes and
Christianity.
The winter solstice of 2012 indicates

The
elaborate Mayan calendars interrelate cosmic and earth cycles;
they track the cycle of the moon, Venus and the sun. Rainbow
Eagle added their intimate understanding of natural cycles
combined with astrology helped them predict the future.
The
significance of Dec. 21, 2012 is the cosmic alignment, the sun
will be positioned exactly at the center of the Milky Way; an
event which only occurs every 25,800 years. Rainbow said the
Mayans believed this would open a stargate from which 13
visitors of profound knowledge will return and enlighten the
world and information will be accessible again. He noted is the
midpoint of this time goes back to 550 B.C.; another period of
great teachers like Buddha and Confucius appeared.
To truly understand the meaning and
predictions in modern times the past has to be seen in context
and interpreted in original meaning. He said just as the current
interpretation of words evolved or were changed from the time of
Jesus or Yeshua, the Native prophecies are also often
misinterpreted. He said the philosophy of words from the time of
Jesus have changed and demonstrated by choosing common words
like ‘evil’ which carries a heavy connotation now but simply
meant unripe; or ‘apocalypse’ which meant ‘unveiling of hidden
truth’.
“We have to look at things
differently, not house spirituality with fear or guilt,” he
said, noting many religions use fear to encourage good behavior
and the system of reward and punishment is deeply ingrained on
human psyche.
Rainbow Eagle said as all organized
religions the Native tribe too prophesize a time of unrest and
turbulence and the need to return to nature and love. Expect
their interpretation of heaven is on earth; “There was no need
for this far away place,” said Rainbow Eagle, the promised
Utopia is all around us.
The new era, Rainbow Eagle said will
be a time of balance harmony between the masculine and feminine;
“Mother earth is not a place of punishment but growth.”
Jean Mraz
was among the 30 attendees listening to the presentation. She
said Rainbow Eagle explains a different perspective of Christian
teachings and promotes a shift in consciousness. Mraz said as
she struggles with personal and situational shifts in her life,
she was drawn to learn more, though she feels a sense of guilt
as if she is betraying her traditional upbringing. “I am trying
to be conscious of the changes going on in the world,” she said.
“Fear is part of life, we have to
learn to mange it so it does not take over,” said Rainbow Eagle.
He encouraged guests to understand themselves and find their
meaning in relation to the greater universe.
